Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

NoFingerprint

The peer offered no fingerprint, so there is nothing to check its certificate against.

Refused rather than accepted unverified. RFC 8122’s guarantee is the fingerprint; without one, a DTLS handshake with a self-signed certificate authenticates nobody, and proceeding would produce encrypted media with no idea who is at the other end.

NoCertificate

The handshake completed and presented no certificate.

FingerprintMismatch

The certificate presented is not the one the SDP named (RFC 8122 §6.2).

NoProfile

No SRTP profile was agreed.

Keying(KeyError)

The keying material could not be used.

Dtls(String)

The handshake itself failed.
