Expand description

A request method.

Comparison is case-sensitive (RFC 3261 §7.1): Invite is not INVITE. Method tokens may contain any token character, including the ones that look like punctuation — RFC 4475 §3.1.1.2 sends a method built from exclamation marks, percent signs, backticks and apostrophes, and it is a perfectly legal method.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Method

Source

pub fn parse(raw: &Bytes) -> Self

Resolve a method token. Never fails: an unknown method is a method.

Source

pub fn as_bytes(&self) -> &[u8]

The method token.
